Why can't I trade on the mobile app?

My account is in good standing. I have coins in my account of sufficient amount. I am able to trade on the website and with the API. But on my iphone the “Buy” and “Sell” buttons are greyed out. It has been that way for a long time. Is this a bug? or is there a reason?
