Please Help Me Understand This Trade

1. I place a Sell for Bitcoin for $20 USD at Market.
   

   

2. It immediately gets filled and the trade is closed.
   

   

3. I made $20

I didn’t want it to close automatically. How do I prevent it from closing automatically?

Hi @David92506! Thank you for using Coinbase cloud APIs. We understand you want to prevent the trade from closing. But unfortunately that would not be possible. Only unfulfilled orders where certain conditions are not met (e.g. limit price in a limit order, or partially filled order) remain open for longer. For execution condition we would recommend to try limit or stop limit orders. You can also visit our official documentation page for Advanced trading API here. Hope this answers your question.
