Historic order book data

Are there any plans to provide historic order book data via the Advance Trade API?

Coinbase must have this data, it seems silly that I need to get some version of it through a third party.

Hello @scaryfast! Thank you for your patience so far.

Regarding your concern, we understand that you are looking for an endpoint that will directly provide historic order books. Unfortunately, such is not yet available with the launched Advanced Trade APIs and we could only offer a workaround for the time being. We suggest that you opt utilizing the Get Product Candles (which get rates for a single product by product ID, grouped in buckets ) and Get Market Trades (which gets snapshot information, by product ID, about the last trades (ticks), best bid/ask, and 24h volume ) endpoints that would provide you the set of response data that are usually being returned by the order book.

Additionally, we ask for your understanding as the launched Advanced Trade API is still in Beta which means that it is in the stage of development. You may often visit the Changelog section in the documentation to get updates on the changes from time to time. You can expect the updates when we transition the Advance Trade API to its full version. We value your feedback about having this added endpoint so please share this in the Feedback Section of the Forum so that it can be reviewed and be part when planning what features to build next.

We hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Could Coinbase put a parameter that shows the initial listing date?
Would save me on time and you on requests. If there is already a way of seeing the initial date just point me in the right direction.

Hello @twiddledumb! Unfortunately, Advance Trade API currently doesn’t have an initial listing date feature but we recommend you to post this on the Feedback Section of the Developer Forum as this is a good feedback/feature request for the API and most new features and improvements to Coinbase come directly from feedback like yours, so it’s very valuable to us. We thank you and again, welcome to the community!
