Still no testnet?

Where is the test net?

When my company deals with normal exchanges they will give us months to test a small change to their (usually FIX) API on their testnet before it is rolled out to the production servers. But Coinbase decided to sunset the old one and release a new one without a testnet. What is going on?

No serious trader in the world creates trading strategies and systems without first robust testing on a testnet. There’s only so much we can do with our own unit tests and testnets when there is no way to test official requests.

I logged a complaint with the SEC months back because it’s highly professional to rollout a new API without a testnet, it’s a clear sign of broken corporate controls and decision-making procedures. What has happened and why isn’t it done yet?

Hi @dazman

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with feedback!

We’ve logged your feedback about testnets with our internal teams so we can continue improving our user experience.

Most new features and improvements to our products come directly from feedback like yours, so it’s very valuable to us. While we can’t offer any specific timeline for adding features, we are constantly working to build products our customers will love.

We hope this is helpful, and please let us know if you have any other questions.

The insanity that is Coinbase never ceases to amaze me with their ability to lower the services they provide from deployment to deployment. I have a ticket open with support that I put in 3 years ago. no response. Now they want a monthly fee to have priority support. Does that cut response time in half to 1.5 years? Sadly they are the only game in town, so they can bend each of us over and do what they please.

@hawtdogflvrwtr Is there still no testnet?

How can you test logic?
