Why is USDT listed in balances on the dashboard?

Why is USDT listed as an accepted payment method in the checkout page?

And as asked here over a week ago, there is conflicting information in the docs.

Again I have to ask if Coinbase is actively supporting this product? These seem to be extremely basic support actions that aren’t being kept up to date.

Hello @Skoot ! Apologies for the delay in our response. Based on the information we gathered from our internal team, yes, USDT is now an accepted payment. However, if you sent USDT before we began monetization, your funds weren’t recoverable and cannot be manually flushed to the merchant address. You need to contact the Tether support in order to blacklist the address where you sent the funds and revoke the tokens. Once revoked, Tether would hold the funds in an escrow account and charge a fee for “recovery”.

Please know that we will log this as feedback and will communicate this with the concerned team to have the help site updated. We hope this clarifies! If you have further questions or clarifications, please do not hesitate to reach out back to us again.
