Hey! I’ve got a followup to this. Do you all let people KYC multiple Coinbase accounts with a single identity (e.g. government ID)? Or is there generally only one KYC’d Coinbase account allowed per user?
In other words, could somebody KYC two Coinbase accounts with the same driver’s license?
In general, the Know Your Customer (KYC) process is designed to verify the identity of an individual and is typically required for compliance with anti-money laundering (AML) regulations. The KYC process is usually conducted on a per-user basis, and each user is expected to have their own unique identity verification.
It is unlikely that a single government ID, such as a driver’s license, would be allowed to be used for multiple KYC processes on separate Coinbase accounts. This is because the purpose of the KYC process is to verify the identity of an individual user, and using the same identity for multiple accounts may be considered a violation of Coinbase’s policies or AML regulations.
It’s important to review the specific terms and policies of Coinbase or any other platform you are using to understand their requirements and limitations regarding KYC processes and identity verification. If you have questions or concerns about KYC or identity verification on Coinbase, it’s best to contact Coinbase directly for accurate and up-to-date information.
